Question about freezing & storing milk in gl.?

I'm having a baby soon and I desperately want to avoid using plastic bottles. The problem is storage. Can I put the milk in gl bottles and store them in the freezer? My husband says that the gl will break as soon as I try to defrost them! Is that true? Any way to avoid that? (I only need answers from people who use gl for their babies not from those who use plastic, please).
