Can I denounce Christianity but still believe in Jesus?

I believe Jesus wanted everyone to love one another and he wanted there to be peace, but I find that in my years of attending church that there is only hate. I don't believe that today's Christianity, with all it's denominations and corruptions, was Jesus's plan. He can't have wanted us all to be separated, to want us all to hate each other, he preached kindness and humility and to love thy neighbor. Am I not accepting Jesus if I don't accept Christianity?
