How can a get my dog to be calm around children?

well have them over more so the dog gets used to people, and let them bring a treat (food/toy) or you make sure the dog has a toy/treat so he isnt as excited because he's distracted, and when he starts jumping up tell then to turn there back to him, he'll soon stop.
