Should I buy Burnout Paradise? Is it even worth it?

Well, EGM gave it straight 9.0s and it has absolutely DREADFUL reviews on Amazon...so honestly, is it good or bad? I used to love Burnout Revenge. I never even played it on Xbox Live, either. But since I just recently got a 360 I want to try it out. So yeah, should I get Burnout Paradise or not bother and just get Burnout Revenge? Also, this is really important: Does Burnout Paradise look next-gen? I mean HONESTLY like other 360 games, not just watered down garbage looking stuff? Really stunning visuals?
