Is an envelope deliveded by a courier more important than one delivered by post box?

I work for the post office and the only difference between our mail and that delivered by couriers is that sometimes it can be quicker to use a courier as we do not offer same day delivery. I guess a letter delivered by courier may be more important as the sender wants it to arrive very quickly.
