Is there any way to perform astrophotography with a dobsonian telescope?

i have a dob and ive read a lot about it saying that you cannot really take pictures with it. it has an 8 inch aperture and 1200mm focal length. im getting a 7.5mm eyepiece for it and i was to know if theres any kind of camera that will attatch directly to the eyepiece so i can take pictures with it. picture that allow long shutter exposures for deep sky objects and such. if not, is there any way at all i can take pictures with it? i have an orion skyquest XT8
